Training & facilitation · for organisations
Training built by someone who still sits in the chair.
Practical, reflective training for counselling agencies, social care providers and voluntary-sector teams — delivered by a practising therapist, not a career trainer.
The problem
Teams absorb a great deal and rarely get the space to put it down.
Training that doesn't land
A day off site, a folder of slides, and nothing changes on Monday. Most training fails because it never touches the actual work.
Teams carrying too much
Staff hold distressing material without a structured place to process it. Sickness and turnover follow long before anyone calls it burnout.
Difficult conversations avoided
Groups develop habits of silence. An outside facilitator can say the thing nobody inside the room is able to say first.
How I work with organisations
Grounded in practice, shaped around your team
Every programme starts with a conversation about what's actually happening in your service — not a catalogue. I work from live clinical experience, so sessions stay close to the realities your staff recognise, and I will say plainly when something isn't a training problem.
Sessions are participative. People talk, bring cases, and leave with something they can use in the week that follows.

How it usually goes
Four steps, no procurement theatre
A conversation
Thirty minutes on what's happening in your service and what you'd want to be different.
A written proposal
Scope, format, dates and a fixed fee. No hourly surprises.
Delivery
Onsite or online, adapted to the group in the room on the day.
Follow-up
A short written summary, and a check-in a few weeks later.
Next step
Tell me what your team is carrying
No sales process. A short conversation, and an honest answer about whether I'm the right person.
